The American Diabetes Association seeks a Contractor who is a detail-oriented individual with proficient project management skills to serve in as the Project Manager of Marketing Operations. Under the supervision of the Managing Director, Marketing Operations, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall coordination and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns and actively monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the status of marketing initiatives to ensure high-quality, measurable, and timely deliverables. Daily contact with marketing leads, production team, and the creative and content team is a key part of the job with an essential role in the organization that is both demanding and fulfilling.

Responsibilities include:
  • Support Managing Director, Marketing Operations to develop and refine workflow and project management processes and documentation to ensure high-quality, on-time, on-budget, efficient, and effective deliverables and solutions.
  • Document all marketing processes and specifications; recommend and implement continuous improvements to processes and project performance within the marketing function.
  • Manage daily project intake and governance process.
  • Actively monitor, analyze, and report on the status of marketing initiatives, including marketing program ROI.
  • Update the monthly and quarterly marketing calendars, highlighting major areas of concern, recommend solutions, and escalate if necessary.
  • Provide recommendations for technology solutions, overseeing the integration with other internal technologies and creating processes to ensure implementation and utilization are a success.
  • Support weekly production meetings to assess the status of projects that are currently being developed and review the status of schedules, deliverables, and upcoming projects as part of forecasting.
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communciations, Business or a related field is required. PMP is desired.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in marketing/brand management/project management
  • Excellent project management skills with an ability to work cross-divisionally, set and achieve goals, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using project management software and tools

  • Adaptable and flexible with strong work ethic to see projects through to completion
  • Creative problem solving skills; ability to see big picture and how details build up to the whole
  • This position reports to the Managing Director of Marketing Operations and resides in Arlington, Va., the site of ADA home office.
