Job Information

Unit-Specific Responsibilities

1) Develop structure and curriculum for leadership development programs for University of Chicago staff and faculty

2) Work closely with faculty to create program content

3) Support and manage logistics for new leadership development programs

4) Market programs across University of Chicago departments

5) Implement and execute multiple leadership programs annually

6) Coordinate application and selection processes for participants in these programs from across the University of Chicago campus

7) Administer program budgets

8) Source and match executive coaches with University leaders

9) Other duties and special projects as assigned

1) Reflect and apply knowledge from current thought leadership on effective leadership development methods and strategies

2) Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build cooperative, effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders both on and off campus

3) Experience managing and executing executive education programs

4) Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information, exercise discretion, and maintain confidentiality

5) Excellent planning, organizational, management and communication skills

6) Strong track record of successful partnerships with faculty

7) Manage a wide range of responsibilities and multiple projects simultaneously

Additional Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Education

1) Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree

Experience

1) At least ten years of experience working in higher education

2) Knowledge of higher education and the University of Chicago

3) High level of knowledge and experience in the field of leadership development, gained through 5 or more years of experience
