POSITION SUMMARY
The Merger Integration and Transformation practice is always a half a step ahead of the clients’ needs; designing the “What” and implementing the “How”. The Vice President, Merger Integration and Transformation will be the “on the ground” Kaufman Hall project management lead for up to three, concurrent client projects, depending on size, with some projects spanning a significant time frame. The VP will coordinate, organize, monitor and support all activities across the client organization related to the transformational agenda involving Kaufman Hall, client and other outside advisors as indicated. For each project the VP will collaborate with the client to establish the project management framework, tracking mechanisms and infrastructure necessary to support and/or manage defined transformational initiatives. As part of the project management infrastructure the VP will coordinate with the client to establish protocols for a data analytics central clearing-house in support of the identified initiatives as well as integrating change management and communication activities; essentially the VP will team with the client to develop the project management infrastructure which will serve as “air traffic control” for the transformation efforts.
The Vice President, Merger Integration and Transformation orchestrates and leads all activities associated with Kaufman Hall’s merger integration and transformation services, including:
- Leading and integrating a team of five to six Kaufman Hall professionals, multiple client transformation team members and associated external advisors to ensure the desired near and long term transformation objectives are met
- Effectively communicating progress, risks and plan details to executive leaders (both client and Kaufman Hall) as well as identified performance excellence teams
- Developing enterprise work plans and overseeing initiative-level work plans and timelines
- Interfacing between the various client-specific leadership teams associated with the integration and/or transformation
- Supporting communication plan development and execution
- Coordinating all analytics supporting target setting and improvement planning
- Integrating with Finance, Human Resources and other client departments/functions as needed
- Identifying, organizing and distributing enabling tools in collaboration with client Information & Technology Innovation leaders
- Developing and coordinating education and training support for identified tools and methods
- Tracking, monitoring and reporting of transformation results
- Providing necessary project management support and coordination of improvement teams and initiatives ensuring timely results realization

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Significant (ten (10) years to preferably fifteen (15) years) executive healthcare management responsibility over clinical, operational, physician, cost management and/or financial functional areas and member of executive leadership team
- Project management certification preferred but, not required
