The leader of this pivotal product and service is responsible for developing the company’s framework for the integration of medical and social service payment models at Unite Us and for implementing this plan cross-functionally. You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with clients to develop effective communication and tactical plans that are complementary to our core services of referral technology and network building. You will ensure a coordinated and seamless approach throughout the company, working closely with key stakeholders and recommending new and innovative approaches to accomplish the company’s goals and objectives. As the Vice President of Social Care Integration, you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions towards Unite Us’ short and long term business initiatives and to drive the future of the company’s vision.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with the executive leadership team to develop a cohesive enterprise-wide vision for delivery of quality, cost-effective products and implementations
- Provide oversight and direction of the product and service through development and implementation of these models with healthcare insurers, governments, and providers – ensuring that they comply with the organization’s own policies, deliver quality products and services, and are financially sound business practices
- Provide leadership and guidance during decision making processes, new technology assessment decisions, and assessment of new internally developed programs and projects as well as those developed externally through strategic partnerships and vendors
- Ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and health care agency standards and actively support and coordinate enterprise corrective action plans when necessary
- Support other areas in implementing cross-functional changes with key leaders, including Customer Success, Engineering, Product, Sales, and Operations
- Contribute to the evaluation of new and emerging technologies to determine possible incorporation into enterprise programs
- Identify, hire, and train staff members, developing them into strong leaders and creating high-performing, self-directed teams
- Act as a change agent to drive and effect organizational change while ensuring key deliverables are met
What’s Required:
- 10+ years healthcare experience, including some years in a leadership role
- 5+ years of managed care/insurance experience or other value-based entity including some years in a leadership role
- Knowledge of regulations and coverage policy relating to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
- Knowledge and understanding of regulations, operating models, and best practices related to health and social services
- Ability to create and manage newly developed payment structures between medical providers and social care providers
- Collaborative leadership approach that will facilitate strong communication both within the team and cross-functionally across the company
- Knowledge and understanding of the role of technology in operationalizing value-based care models, including analytics, interoperability, and systems of reimbursement
- Bachelors’ Degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferredCommitment to Unite Us’ mission and a passion for healthcare innovation

- This position is based in New York, NY (preferred) or other Unite Us Office locations
