Job Summary

Hold Brothers Capital, LLC, a leading self-clearing broker-dealer, is seeking a Mandarin speaking AVP for our Finance department. This individual will provide support to the CFO and the Finance and Operations teams by working heavily with data and analytics to optimize business decisions supporting our global business including China.

Essential Functions

  • Support Executive Leadership Team providing financial and business support for the leadership team through monthly financial business reviews, variance to forecast analysis and ad hoc project as assigned by management.
  • Evaluate and improve the firm’s financial performance across all departments and collaborate with department heads including, but not limited to: Trading, Technology, Risk Management, Clearing Operations, Human Resources, Legal/Compliance, etc. to implement best practices and strategic solutions.
  • Help the business achieve their financial target and goals through process improvement efforts across the division. Prepare, drive and execute recommendations for action and improvement.
  • Participate in the monthly forecast by preparing, reviewing and competing the forecast cycle.
  • Develop and distribute the monthly financial management package to senior management.
  • Manage the development, dissemination, ongoing improvement and automation of key daily and monthly operational reports.
  • Proactively identify, track and analyze key financial and non-financial business metrics; with the goal of contributing to business decisions and driving operational results.
  • Identify and drive best practices, standardization, report automation and process improvement across all aspects of planning /budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Ability to build financial models from scratch when not all the necessary information is readily available.
  • Partner with other business support groups like IT and Business Intelligence teams to accomplish the assignment.
  • Assist CFO with accounting responsibilities and ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Mathematics or other related field
  • Fluency in Mandarin is required.
  • Securities licenses are a plus but not required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in Financial Services industry
  • Solid knowledge of trading and equity markets is preferred.
  • Accounting experience is preferred, but not required.
  • The ideal candidate is someone who is intelligent, organized, and results-driven, with good interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills including the experience and ability to handle quantitative and qualitative data to ultimately draw conclusions and assist on decision making.
  • Attention to detail and strong excel skills desired.
  • Extremely reliable character with a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
