Description
In this role, the SVP of Sales for 3rd Party Leasing, based in Chicago, Illinois, is responsible for selling TrinityRail products and services to Railcar Leasing companies. The VP of Sales is responsible for developing customers, their satisfaction and represents the company to the customer and the customer to the company in all sales-oriented activities. This individual will be responsible for direct sales and leasing of railcar leasing companies. As the relationship manager, you will have primary responsibility for maintaining key relationships with your existing customer base as well as establishing new customers. Activities will include the following:
What you’ll be doing:
- Origination of new sales transactions on new and existing equipment.
- Maximizing revenue and generating new business opportunities.
- Liaise with Operations, Engineering, Financial, and Systems to insure total customer fulfillment.
- Work with internal teams to manage customer leases and lease renewals
- Experience with Class 1 equipment and an understanding of operations, engineering, and quality of railcars.
- Experience and understanding of the Railcar Leasing Market
- Ability to analyze business opportunities and make recommendations aligning with current business strategies and customer needs.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to report detailed findings based on observations in the field.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to discuss to technical details.
- Ability to think outside of the box for creating maximum benefit for the customer and the company.
- Position to be based out of Chicago, Illinois
- Management experience required
Qualifications
What you’ll need:

Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Engineering, Finance or Business required. MBA preferred.

8+ years overall experience in large industrial transportation equipment sales

Very strong background with railcar equipment, preferably Class 1 equipment.

Willing to travel domestically 50% of time

Excellent selling, communication, negotiation and closing skills
