Senior Vice President of Home Health and Hospice

Oversees the operational leadership of PruittHealth Home Health & Hospice, including but not limited to maintaining budgetary requirements, compliance with regulatory agencies, human resources management, office management, information systems, and the planning and coordination of resources. Responsible for ensuring that the company strategic goals and business drivers are met.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Knowledge of Home Health/Hospice operations, state and federal regulations and compliance.

2. Ensures that all state and federal laws and regulations are followed by all Home Health/Hospice entities.

3. Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; obtaining opinions from legal counsel; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

4. Ensure all 800 Complaints are followed up on and entered into the follow up system timely.

5. Has overall responsibility to ensure that all agencies provides high quality care; consistent with the corporate quality assessment program.

6. Promotes and achieves operational and financial performance through planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the results to ensure all offices meet budgeted net income goals.

7. Consults with Executive Leadership Team, Vice Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents and Regional Directors of Operations and other senior managers in planning and developing programs, services, systems and other functions which will assist patient care providers and support staff.

8. Assists in the recruitment and selection of competent Area Vice Presidents, Directors, Director of Operations, Clinical Managers, consultants, and other staff as needed.

9. Responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and management of PruittHealth Home Health.

10. Maintains and oversees census-to-budget goals and SOC in all Home Health/Hospice Division agencies.

11. Ensures that all agency’s staffing patterns meet budgetary requirements and ensures that all staff receives appropriate orientation and ongoing training.

12. Ensures strategic goals and business drivers are met.

13. Responsible for the clinical performance of all Home Health/Hospice Division agencies and ensures all agencies are meeting company standards.

14. Prepares leadership to interact with partners by recommending, developing and conducted training programs; reviewing proposed decisions and actions.

15. Prepares monthly Performance Review reports regarding the status of the strategic goals and business drivers to COO.

16. Oversee the productivity of the Area Vice Presidents, Regional Administrators, Administrators, and other members of Home Health & Hospice leadership team.

17. Meets monthly with Home Health leadership team.

18. Participates in the process of monitoring, resolving, and ensuring partner, customer and community satisfaction. Ensures partner and customer satisfaction goals are met by evaluating, investigating, and offering possible courses of action; providing advice, guidance and direction.

19. Maintains records and oversee human resource practices by documenting incidents and resolutions of problems. Consults with human resource department when needed and ensures compliance with company HR Policies and Procedures.

20. Oversee the implementation of organization-wide Quality Assurance Performance Improvement.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Must be proficient in working with computers, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of partner services administration, employment law, effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be well organized and able to set priorities.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with frequent travel.
  • Supervisory and leadership experience required.
  • Must gain proficiency in Home Care Home Base and Matrixcare


Qualifications


MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in health care operations. Three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory and leadership capacity

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
