You will have the opportunity to drive strategy, go-to-market, program development, and delivery, as well as revenue and profitability attainment in the Comstor business unit, focused on Cisco products, services, and software. You will manage a team of business development associates and will be responsible for strategic direction, program planning, fiscal budgets and collaborating with key executives throughout the organization and with partners as well as the vendor.

- Devise sales strategy to drive new streams of revenue, recruitment, and growth of reseller partners
- Expand existing and create a new capability to drive growth with vendors or resellers in the channel
- Directly and indirectly influence associates of different disciplines across the organization
- Development and execution of strategic vendor business and marketing plans for increased business attainment
- Identify and evaluate fundamental problems for major functional areas through assessment of intangible variables
- Interact internally and externally with executive level management requiring negotiation to influence policymaking
- Develop and maintain strong executive and field engagement relationships with partners
- Actively participate in the quarterly and annual business plan to accomplish business unit goals and objectives
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances
- Assess and evaluate competition from other distributors, other market participants, and external markets – as well as between suppliers and partners
Your passion is sparked by:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 10 years of related experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- In-depth understanding of market trends and dynamics
- Proven experience forecasting and budget planning
- Sales effectiveness and execution skills
- Thorough knowledge of the functional area, business strategies, and company goals
- Demonstrated business communication skills, including but not limited to verbal and written communication skills
- Must have proven success in developing a vision and delivering measurable results
- Expert business communications skills including, but not limited to preparing reports, speaking before groups of people, and negotiation
- Collaboration skills (ability to work on a cross-functional basis; liaison with vendors and customers; support sales and business development)
- Experience in meeting and/or exceeding sales/business development revenue, profitability, and productivity goals
- Detail and numbers-oriented
- Expert understanding of the interfaces between the sales, marketing, and business development processes
- Ability to present ideas and influence a group of people at all levels of the organization as well as senior-level executives with customers, suppliers, and partners
- Ability to conduct market and competitive intelligence work
- Frequent travel will be required; 30-40%
