We are looking for an exceptional agilest to be a Scrum Master within Acquisition & Product Innovation of the GRM US Business Lines Technology organization.

The Scrum Master is responsible for timely and successful delivery of features/enablers for programmatic business and/or technology objectives that require coordination of multiple scrum teams. Facilitates process and program execution, escalates impediments, manages risk and helps drive program-level continuous improvement.

In this role, you will be a coach and facilitator for one or more agile delivery teams. Your work will include coaching team members, proactively eliminating barriers, and facilitating team delivery on sprint goals. You’ll get to work directly with the product owners and software engineers daily in support of their delivery goals. Perhaps most importantly, you will use your servant leadership capabilities and mindset to help empower, energize and motivate the teams you support. You will work closely with your team and Product Owners and peer Scrum Masters to support Sprint and Release Planning, foster team self-awareness, encourage cross-training, decision-making and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Be a part of an Agile team(s) delivering features

  • Oversee scrum process and coach the team; facilitate transparency, inspection, and adaption

  • Lead daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement.

  • Manage interdependencies between agile teams

  • Work with the Product Owner(s) to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep work backlog health and prepared for execution

  • Shield the team from external interference to enable optimal functionality and productivity

  • Anticipate and address potential or actual impediments to team delivery

  • Ensure adherence to agile practice through program increment planning, retrospectives, etc. for scrum team

  • Apply effective SAFe methodologies as appropriate

  • Coach, mentor and provide guidance to other team members as appropriate

  • Facilitate interaction and appropriate communication between your agile teams, architecture and external agile teams

  • Aggregate scrum team objectives and progress and publish to stakeholders and team members to ensure visibility and transparency

This role might be for you if you:

  • Understand software development and relevant domains/products/journeys typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline and at least 5 years related experience as a project team member and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Agile software development including coaching on agile methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Have a working knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures and technical standards
  • Can coach a team and stakeholders on Agile practices and ensure adherence to Agile methodology
  • Enjoy solving problems and can resolve conflicts through strong mediation skills.
  • Communicate clearly and can deliver complex messages and teach new concepts.
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring a team to maximize progress and potential
  • Are motivated and driven, and can influence and drive teams to success using Agile/scrum/Lean practices
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and concepts
  • Display strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.
  • Advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Scrum certification a plus.
  • Experience working in a scaled agile framework preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives.
