Bloomin’ Brands has an immediate opening for a talented Scrum Master who has proven experience with delivering an assortment of Digital/ECommerce/Mobile/Data projects to successful completion. This is a six month temporary, non-benefits eligible assignment, based in our Tampa Restaurant Support Center.

The Scrum Master will possess a strong understanding of process and best practices surrounding project management and business analysis in a SCRUM and Agile development setting.

They will have the opportunity to influence processes that optimize and evolve IT as a service delivery organization.

Essential Functions:

Guiding and coaching the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices.

  • Drive process improvements for the project team to be more efficient
  • Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example
  • Support Product Owner with gathering requirements and turning them into user stories that define the scope.
  • Work with the Development and QA for sizing and estimates of user stories.
  • Run the daily scrum/stand-up for your projects and remove roadblocks.
  • Help the Product Owner prioritize the user stories/specifications for each two-week sprint.
  • Work in the gap between the client and the development team, helping each to help the other
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with technical teams.
  • Organize and lead all Scrum Meetings including planning, refinement, daily stand up, demo and retro.
  • Define and monitor sprint performance KPIs and improve processes to achieve better productivity.

This individual must work effectively with staff and senior management within the function, across functions and with external parties.

  • Manage cross functional teams across different locations
  • Limited supervision and direction is provided, as this individual can operate, drive results and set priorities independently – the ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor.

To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through leadership and influencing others.


Job Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years as a Scrum Master/ Business Systems Analyst experience is required.

  • Experience with leading a cross-functional, global team as a Scrum Master.
  • Experience as a hands-on Business Systems Analyst.
  • Experience with Release Management, User Story writing, estimation and other Agile techniques.
  • Ability to identify and manage impediments.
  • Scrum experience in the software industry for at least 3 years.
  • Self-starter and able to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to necessary to interface cross functionally as well as to senior management.

  • Certified Scrum Master is preferred

Proven ability to coordinate teams, including remote and external groups.
