POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Video Project Manager is a resourceful, highly organized and proactive leader who works as a direct liaison between Sales, Marketing, Creative Services, Video Production and other cross-functional teams to manage expectations, coordinate inputs from cross-functional teams, client leads and executives, and will ensure projects are completed, delivered on time, and within budget. This role is responsible for managing work and teams to implement and execute marketing/creative campaigns and projects by creating (and maintaining) project plans/timelines, identifying project dependencies, liaising with internal creative-services clients, agency creative professionals, internal creative staff, and multiple vendors on creative requirements, design and production. With a strong background in client service/project management best practices, video, marketing and event branding, the Project Manager, Video, writes creative briefs, directs team members, manages, communicates and updates details from beginning to end, and develops de-briefing documents for future improvements. This person will also provide internal and external support to Sr. Manager, Project Management.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
  • Build and maintain positive relationships by supporting stakeholders needs, formulate actionable project creative work for internal design team and/or agency, route approvals, and manage both creative resources and stakeholders on track to ensure timelines are met.
  • Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific program or project.
  • Possess excellent knowledge of production management process and methodologies
  • Have a thorough understanding of the process and exhibit flexibility and creativity to fine-tune timelines to project needs.
  • Define and drive multiple concurrent project tasks and milestones within necessary timing.
  • Effectively communicate and continually manage project expectations and roles with team members, agency professionals and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion throughout project lifecycle and as the project evolves.
  • Maintain constant communication with other stakeholders and creative marketing team members.
  • Lead project meetings (project kick-off, team huddle, creative tactical and logistical meetings) with cross-functional teams and conduct timely follow-ups to track project deliverables from team.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential challenges, and devise contingency plans.
  • Maintain an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact.
  • Anticipate, identify, drive, and track resolution of issues, risks and develop creative solutions.
  • Elevate risks to meet project launches and secure senior management approval to move forward.
  • Track project budget(s) and develop post mortem documentations.
  • Develop tracking and metrics to measure traffic to published videos, including but not limited to dashboards, reports, etc.
  • Collect stakeholder feedback and track areas of opportunity for potential process improvements and work with management to refine and meet the needs of a growing department including the creation of tools and templates to facilitate briefing, timeline development, creative reviews and approvals.
  • Evaluate current workflow processes and innovate on new ways to streamline and provide efficiency, including liaising with third-party vendors and internal tools.
  • Train other team members on video process, production stages, creative, reviews, and other video best practices. Create training tools and documents as needed.
  • Support other video and video-related projects and campaigns as needed, including consultation, project managing, creative, content, pre-pro, on-set production, edits, post, delivery, etc.
  • Work with management to coordinate video priorities among Stakeholders.
  • Follow process and procedures of the department to ensure compliance and consistency.

  • Experience in working with Project Management tools (Workfront/MS Project/TeamGantt/Gantter/FastTrack Schedule)
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook Mac / PC.
  • Knowledge of design applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
  • Knowledge of video production management process and methodologies, including experience with digital video and other technologies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and proofreading skills.
  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity.

Experience:
  • 7+ years of project management/account/marketing/brand management experience in design, advertising or related marketing/communications business in a corporate environment, international company or creative agency. Experience implementing various large-scale integrated projects including video, website, applications, events, product launches, print items, and digital asset management.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in video, television and film production and development, high-profile projects, web series, live-streaming digital series and/or social media and people development.
  • Experience with digital technologies and working within a media company.
  • Experience leading a team in the digital video space with high-level subject matter expertise managing multiple projects, through various markets.
  • Experience managing outside agencies/vendors.
  • Experience working with multiple teams, personalities, needs and ideas.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, or additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
