Project Manager, Dimensional Natural Stone

Plan, purchase, direct, and manage natural stone construction projects. Develop project concept and oversee implementation. Create budget objectives, analyze technical and financial job requirements, etc. Perform blueprint reading, create shop drawings and fabrication tickets (using computer aid drafting software), as well as metric and imperial measurements, estimate and price change orders, and troubleshoot design and fabrication problems. Explain design concerns and cost effective options to the clients. Ensure compliance with engineering principles and building code. Perform other related duties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: BS, or foreign equiv, in Civil Eng’g, Eng’g Mag’t or a rel. 5 yrs. exp or 5 yrs exp in install’n & fabrication of natural stone projs for urban environments. Will consider BS equivalency evaluated based on wor exp only, or will consider any suitable comb. of edu, train’g &/or exp as acceptable. Will also consider 2 yrs of project manager exp in lieu of BS deg. Jobsite: Lorton, VA. FT. Must be able to identify natural stone materials which could be sourced worldwide & be versed in all eng’g principles for stone anchorage as well as all ASTM stone testing protocols. Must have exp working w/ foreign suppliers to meet aesthetic, technical, schedule & financial goals. Must also have strong wrk’g knowledge importation procedures, ocean & air cargo & customs clearance for imported goods.
