Ostroff Electric is in need to fill two positions. Electrical Estimator and Project Manager or APM.

We will train you in the electrical if you have construction experience.

PROJECT MANAGER or APM

Ostroff Electric is seeking an Assistant Project Manager or an experienced Admin person to assist our project managers.

If you have Construction, Mechanical or Architectural APM experience Ostroff Electric seeks knowledgeable APMs who want to work with a leader in the high end residential electrical market.

We offer an exciting opportunity to work with the top architects, interior designers, lighting designers and general contractors on the largest and most prestigious residential projects in Manhattan.

Overview:

The position is responsible for assisting in the management of multiple projects from start-up to closeout under the direction of a Project Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the bid process, analyze blueprints/specifications, review proposals/project requirements and coordinate materials procurement
  • Responsible for material requisition, submittal compilation, RFI’s, purchase orders, on-site job walk-throughs, change orders request, and close-out documents
  • Create, update and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years Electrical experience/knowledge of construction and design
  • Experience preparing take-offs and estimates for change orders
  • Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
  • Proficient in AutoCAD a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and Power Point), and Acubid or other estimation software
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work in fast-paced setting

ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

Ostroff Electric is seeking an electrical estimator with at least 3 years experience. The work is estimating and takeoffs of Manhattan High End Residential Electrical Work.

Knowledge of the following will help determine salary

  • Accubid
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Takeoff ability
  • Design of circuits
  • NEC Residential Code
  • General Electrical knowledge
