Project Manager for medical system implementations needed for a Permanent Full-Time position in Raleigh, NC.
Required/Desired Skills/Experiences include:
- Project Management – 3 years experience
- Medical HCIT systems or standards (such as DICOM OR HL7 OR RIS OR PACS)
- Knowledge of IT environments (preferred are some combination of Windows OS, Networking, Network Infrastructure, IT Security, Security Server Infrastructure, Workstation/Desktop Infrastructure, Web Server (IIS), Web Security, TCP/IP, FTP, SQL Server, Oracle, vSphere, VMWare, or storage technologies)
- Bachelor’s degree
As a Project Manager, your responsibilities include: Plan, initiate, engineer, and manage Implementations projects and installations. Lead and guide the work of technical staff, while providing hands-on technical support. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects, including the development department. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
Steps in the Project Management process include:
- Verify sales orders prior to project start and implementation.
- Develop or update Implementation project plans, including objectives, scope, deliverables, budget, schedules, staffing, technologies, systems, and communication requirements.
- Develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit or return on investment (ROI).
- Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
- Identify need for initial or supplemental project resources, and manage resource allocation.
- Coordinate recruitment or selection of project personnel.
- Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel, and direct or coordinate their activities.
- Monitor the performance of project team members, providing and documenting performance feedback.
- Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
- Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables.
- Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies.
- Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans.
- Negotiate with project stakeholders or suppliers to obtain resources or materials.
- Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Assist clients in full end-to-end training and testing to ensure a successful go-live.
- Perform remote installations of add-on components and software when needed.
- Assess current or future customer needs and priorities through communicating directly with customers, conducting surveys, or other methods.
- Continue improving implementation processes and procedures to drive efficiency, increase client satisfaction, and reduce operational costs.
- Adhere to the requirements of the company’s quality management standards and systems.
- Regular, timely, and punctual attendance is an essential function (EF) of this position.
