The Senior Project Manager will require strong hands-on experience providing project management support for IT projects in enterprise environments.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
–Experience managing enterprise IT projects, particularly demonstrating aptitude in providing planning, scheduling, and monitoring to drive large projects to completion.
-Experience with requirements elicitation.
-Experience with IT modernization, technology refresh, or cloud projects.
-Experience with assessing project deliverables for satisfaction of requirements.
-Experience with Microsoft Project and any of the following: Microsoft Planner, SharePoint, JIRA, or Kanban Boards.
-Experience creating communications, dashboards, information radiators, presentations, reports, and other supporting documents for technical and non-technical audiences.
-Ability to communicate effectively both orally (phone and in-person) and in writing (reports and e-mail) to customers, engineers, and leadership.
-Ability to comply with standards governing Change Management, Incident Management, and Risk Management.
-Knowledge of current industry best practices for managing projects.
-Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
-Agile certification (CSM, CSP, PMI-ACP, or similar) is a plus.
-Certifications or comparable experience in ITSM, technology governance, or process improvement/quality is a plus.
-Advanced degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or similar is a plus.
-Previous experience working at or delivering consulting services to the House is a plus.
-Deliver a monthly status report listing current and planned activities, hours spent on the contract, hours remaining on the contract, and other requested financial contractual details (see Deliverables).
-All documentation shall be created in Microsoft Office using software versions supported under the House Supported Software List.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Define requirements, capture technical work to be performed, monitor progress towards completion of the project objectives, and record lessons learned/retrospective information.
-Negotiate availability of required resources external to the project team with functional managers.
-Prepare documents specified within project management policy and related framework.
-Conform to existing frameworks, policies, practices, and standards governing technology at the House.
-Provide actionable advisory assessments highlighting solutions to problems encountered.
-Facilitate the implementation of emerging technology projects.
-Coordinate and facilitate project and stakeholders meetings and capture key notes and action items.
-Work with technical staff and leaders to collect and analyze project data and translate it into project documentation and stakeholder briefings.
-Lead data gathering efforts.
-Create executive level briefings for various senior stakeholder audiences.

1. Project/Initiative Status Reports (weekly).
2. Monthly Contractual Status Report (monthly).
3. Meeting Minutes (as conducted).
4. Required Project Artifacts (as specified in policy).
