About You:
The ideal candidate will be competent in managing their time and activities. Candidates must possess a “can-do” perspective in their professional attitude. You will be detail oriented and demonstrate a strong work ethic. You will be comfortable working with technical and non-technical internal and client stakeholders.
Profile
- Own execution, management, development of custom reporting and supporting systems.
- Aid onsite team in refining product requirements for custom reporting and supporting systems.
- Support efforts to integrate our data into Walmart’s enterprise systems.
- Work closely with internal Technology, Product and Operations teams on repeatable products that Walmart receives from NPD.
- Document the data mapping, transformation logic and process flow for each development project.
Requirements
- Curiosity, independent thinker, lifelong learner.
- Meticulous code and process documentation habits.
- Experience building and troubleshooting ETL systems and associated automation.
- 6+ yrs. Experience with relational databases, Mysql preferred.
- Proficient in one or more of the following, Java, node.js, python.
- Comfortable switching back and forth between Waterfall and Agile approaches to project management.
- Bachelors in Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with non-relational/NoSQL databases, distributed computing.
- Familiarity with deploying and managing databases and applications in a cloud environment (Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure are preferred).
- Familiarity with statistics (descriptive statistics, regression, segmentation, forecasting, etc.) in SAS, SPSS, R, python, etc.
- Familiarity with developing and deploying client facing data science implementations.
