The primary objective of the land manager is to effectively maintain the real estate inventory. In most cases, the employee will be performing duties, such as but not limited to, property acquisition and disposition, leasing, mapping, timber land management, and managing and reducing real estate tax obligations.
* Maintain database of all properties
* Maintain individual property files
* Review tax tickets for payment of real estate taxes
* Contest real estate tax appraisals when necessary
* Research for property acquisitions, including, deed research, boundary research, timber cruise data, landowner negotiations, contract preparation and review, survey information, and attorney interaction
* Monitor all leases for prompt payment and compliance
* Proficient in Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office programs
