IT Manager – Beecher Carlson

We have an immediate opening for an IT Manager in our Tampa, FL or Boardman, OH office. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the planning, implementation and operation of all information technology systems to enable the achievement of the organizations business objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Manage and utilize IT systems to achieve the return on investment in conjunction with the company’s goals and objectives
• Manage projects to ensure the budget, schedule and scope of the project are achieved
• Maximize efficiencies across company operations
• Holding staff accountable for accurately and efficiently utilizing systems to maximize efficiencies within their respective role
• Assess existing technology infrastructure and applications for capacity planning, performance improvements, upgrade requirements and hardware/software replacements
• Direct and support the implementation of new software and hardware, including enhancements to current programs
• Assist in coordination and planning, purchasing, implementation, maintenance of infrastructure, computer related hardware and all software throughout the organization; recommend changes as necessary in order to align with business strategy and ensures efficient processes and operations
• Ensure the IT Department maintains Sarbanes-Oxley compliance processes as required
• Foster and seek relationships with teammates across all levels of Beecher Carlson
• Ensure compliance with government agencies and corporate policies and procedures
• Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills
• Always conduct the highest level of confidentiality
• Other duties as needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or related experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within IT in a production environment
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing an IT department team
• Experience in Business Intelligence and programming development
• Proficient knowledge of software development methodologies, data structures, relationships, web client design/deployment and security
• Must be willing to travel 25% of the time
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and within a short time frame
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
