Provides operational and administrative support to the institution. Coordinates, directs, and manages audit compliance processes. Serves as an Administrative Duty Officer managing all institutional operations on a rotational basis. Writes, manages and oversees policy and procedure development for all functions throughout the institution. Supervises staff and manages the offender appeal processes and offender grievance procedure processes. Prepares recommendations and management reports for review by various internal and external users.
Valid Drivers License. Extensive working knowledge of Corrections and Correctional practices. Extensive working knowledge of VADOC policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to complete reports and/or write policies and/or procedures.
Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related field. A combination of education and related work experience may substitute for the educational preference. Prior supervisory experience. Extensive working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
