The Region Manager is responsible for securing camp locations, building community and school relationships, hiring and managing Camp Directors, and ensuring that camp operates smoothly.
Region Manager duties include:
- Hire, train, and manage Camp Directors
- Identify and secure camp locations
- Gather staff and location information to comply with marketing needs
- Build community relationships and provide input on regional field marketing efforts
- Communicate with District and Host locations to make sure there is a clear understanding of commitment and needs of both parties
- Provide support and back up for Camp Director and staff during camp season
- Anticipate and problem solve in real time, common camp issues ensuring that camper and staff safety are maintained and families are kept apprised
- Take care of all the details related to set up, operation and clean up of camp site
- Work with Summer Operations Director to keep all training materials and manuals for camp staff comprehensive and up to date
(Note: Various qualifications are preferred but not required)
- Bachelor degree
- 2+ years of experience working with children
- 2+ years of experience with leadership and group facilitation
- Excellent communication skills
- Adept with software and technology in general
- Able and willing to problem-solve efficiently and thoroughly
- Passion for educational enrichment
- Proven program management and exemplary leadership skills
- Creativity, flexibility, and excellent multi-tasking skills
- Ability to act as a team-player with EDMO staff and staff being managed
- Camp experience
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience teaching kids in a classroom age 4-13
- Experience with STEAM Learning and SEL Skills
- Team Management experience

Hours: Full time

Salary: $50,000/year plus benefits
