Position Overview

The Single Family Finance Division is seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to oversee reporting and analysis for the Single Family FP&A group. This position will lead a team that is the primary Finance partner for senior leadership and operating businesses within Single Family, including Office of the Client, Affordable Lending and Portfolio Management. Additionally, this position will take ownership of key inputs into Single Family forecasts, operating plans and DFAST submissions, and will have oversight of segment transfers between Single Family and I&CM. The role will have significant interaction with Single Family senior leadership within Finance as well as the operating businesses. In addition to leading the execution of planning, forecasting and trend analysis, this role will drive the evolution and enhancements of the group’s analytical and technical capabilities; the work from this team will be used by the business leaders to monitor key trends and enable strategic decisions.

Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories:

Finance Business Partnership

  • Monthly Finance BPR’s
  • KRI, KPI and other key metrics
  • New initiative finance support

SF Operations and Accounting Support

  • 10k and 10q support
  • Analysis and reporting for BOD, Treasury and FHFA
  • Segment transfer pricing evaluation
  • Trust Advance Funding Validations

Analysis and Reporting

  • Portfolio delinquency, credit losses and prepayments
  • New production forecasting
  • Capital and CRT benefit forecasting
  • Loan Modification analysis
  • Market and industry analysis, including GSE comparisons
  • Ownership of the SF scenario forecasting tool

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of related experience and 2+ years management experience
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting or equivalent practical experience
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as SAS and SQL
  • Strong process management skills including organizational and planning abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to produce results, solve complex problems and lead teams in a challenging environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable presenting to various levels of the organization
  • Experience in managing a team as well as interacting with business leaders to provide optimal solutions around analytics, reporting, utilization of software, management of data, process efficiency and delivery of results

• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint are required; knowledge of SAS and SQL are helpful but not required • Organized, strategically focused, detail oriented, self-starter and able to adapt to an evolving environment

  • Knowledge of the Single Family mortgage industry is preferred
