Role:
The Director, Enterprise and Leadership Communications, is responsible for communications to support enterprise messages, with focus on the company strategy and change management. This individual will oversee engagement efforts for leaders, with focus on the companyâs Global Leadership Team (GLT) of top ~300 leaders. This role partners with People & Culture team and works across Corporate Affairs to create an integrated employee and leader communications strategy and a framework for engagement. This role will also provide support to the Head of Enterprise and Leader Communications on CEO and enterprise communications.
This position requires an exceptionally high level of comfort interacting, building trust and persuading key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, Corporate Affairs and cross-functional leaders. The position is based in Lawrenceville, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage communications and engagement of senior leaders around company strategy and culture, working closely with People & Culture team and key business partners across the company.
- Provide strategic guidance to enterprise leaders around various key components of engagement and change communications, including content, channels and engagement, and areas for potential collaboration with internal and external partners (including, but not limited to, programs and events).
- In coordination with Corporate Affairs and business leaders, play a prominent role in annual planning for employee and leader communications, including the employee communications strategy. Develop editorial plans, and manage the editorial process throughout the year.
- Provide strategic input on and support execution of GLT engagement efforts, including the GLT small group engagement initiative as well as the GLT meetings.
- Measure and regularly report on status/progress of communications to key stakeholders, with focus on GLT audience.
- Develop and maintain process and governance for GLT communications and communicate to key stakeholders.
- Manage and build relationships with a broad internal stakeholder group to ensure consistent and aligned plans and messaging across the company.
Requirements:
- Bachelorâs degree required, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field. Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- 15+ yearsâ experience in corporate communications, executive communications, internal and external communications, employee engagement or related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and change communications.
- Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across the enterprise to drive and scale internal communications strategies worldwide.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior leadership in both communications and business settings.
- Strong understanding of how to engage employees and drive corporate culture across both internal and external communications channels.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Superior interpersonal communications skills. Strong presentation and facilitation skills; ability to engage with and persuade a wide variety of audiences.
- Excellent writing and content creation skills required; able to quickly produce clear, compelling, motivating communications. Strong grasp of storytelling.
- Able to quickly learn the business and operate within a complex, fast-paced and changing environment.
