The AVP for Economic Development, Engagement, and Partnerships is responsible for developing initiatives and programs which leverage the Universityâ??s academic and research missions to advance the economic development goals of the State and to initiate and sustain relevant strategic partnerships and collaborations. The position brings together economic development experts from the Universityâ??s 17 constituent institutions and affiliates to maximize the Universityâ??s potential impact on State-wide economic development and innovation efforts. Other responsibilities include coordinating the UNC Systemâ??s efforts to enhance the Universityâ??s support of entrepreneurship and working with the research offices of the constituent institutions to increase and improve innovation and technology transfer throughout the University System.
