Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager represents the vital service delivery link for Yellowstone Landscapeâs valued landscape construction clients; he/she is responsible for arranging, scheduling and directing daily delivery of irrigation and landscape installation services in accordance with the contractual requirements for each project. The primary responsibilities outlined below are to be carried out in a manner that will assure peak efficiency and the delivery of high-quality products and services. The Assistant Project Manager reports directly to the Project Manager and works closely with other supporting service staff in fulfillment of his/her regular duties.
Responsibilities:
- Assist PM in planning, scheduling, and implementing the tasks of multiple field crews for commercial landscape construction and irrigation. These activities must result in compliance with contract specifications, budgets, and client expectations.
- Assist PM in interacting on a regular basis with assigned Yellowstone clientele and general contractors, through flawless verbal and written communications.
- Assist in continuous quality control monitoring and maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation for all issues and solutions.
- Assist in field safety training and daily oversight to assure that every crew member is working safely.
- Assist PM in field observation of work being performed and quality control of crews in the field. Project work/phase schedules
- Irrigation system and landscape inspection reports
- Job close-out punch lists
- Understand budget amounts and relevant cost (labor and materials) inputs on each project.
Requirements:
- Professional with the ability to be highly functional in a team environment, as well as able to perform with minimum supervision and direction.
- Minimum 1-year experience with a commercial landscape construction firm, grading experience is highly preferred; leading multiple crews required.
- Exceptional client-service skills and a keen sense of ownership of responsibilities.
- Superb communication skills – both written and verbal; knowledge of Spanish is highly preferred.
- Bachelorâs Degree, or in the process, is preferred but may be substituted with strong green industry and landscape construction experience.
