Summary of Role: Eyesafe VP/Sr. Director of Marketing

The VP/Sr. Director of Marketing is a senior executive position at Eyesafe, reporting to the CEO. The role will be charged with driving our marketing and brand communications efforts in support of our business strategy with major customers, company partners (which span consumer electronics, healthcare and government), the national consumer and trade media as well as the general public. You will work closely with external consultants, third-party agencies, strategic partners and an array of other institutional entities to manage the company’s brand identity and public messaging.

Eyesafe is pioneering the field of health and safety across the consumer electronics industry landscape. It’s imperative that the company be viewed as the leading innovator in its space by our customers, partners and the public. The company’s early “pole position” in eye health has enabled it to stake out a prominent leadership role in the development of industry standards and legislation, as well as forge important partnerships in the healthcare space with payers and providers – trends the company will want to capitalize on and leverage through its efforts in public affairs, public relations and marketing.

This position is responsible for the public perception of the company. Managing this perception involves developing marketing and communication strategies to drive the Eyesafe® brand, supporting our major customers and partners in electronics and healthcare, partnering with our customers and teams in healthcare in development of joint marketing plans, understanding the importance of timing and setting, responding to crises and setbacks, overseeing a team of diverse communications roles and ensuring that information released is consistent with the strategy at large.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stewardship of the Eyesafe® brands;
  • Developing cohesive marketing communications strategy for customers, healthcare partners and government;
  • Owning the strategy and development of Eyesafe content in partnership with Vision Health Advisory Board and other healthcare partners;
  • Partnering with Healthe customer and partner marketing teams in development of joint-marketing and PR plans;
  • Assembling and overseeing a diversely skilled communications team;
  • Leading the crisis management and preemptive planning function at Healthe;
  • Cultivating an environment of smart, fast decision-making, readiness and alertness
  • Maintaining an awareness of company risks and threats and taking preventivive, defensive measures when necessary;
  • Projecting a positive public image of Eyesafe®;
  • Managing third-party media relations, public affair, marketing and PR agencies
  • Managing the communications budget;
  • Ensuring quality control of all information released;
  • Supervising the entirety of Eyesafe’s marketing and communications functions, which may include agencies, contractors and/or direct reports.
