The Senior Analyst will be responsible for detailed credit analysis of companies covering management strategy, operations, competitive environment and business risk. The Senior Analyst will also assess liquidity risk,capital and corporate structures and ESG risks. The Senior Analyst will provide initial rating recommendations for new issuers, as well as recommend changes to ratings of existing issuers to a rating committee.
The Senior Analyst will publish written opinions for companies on a timely and regular basis. He or she will write more detailed company research, related industry research and industry outlooks. The Senior Analyst will manage their assigned issuer relationships and engage in outreach meetings with investors and intermediaries. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for mentoring the junior support analysts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred.
- Ten (10) years + experience in credit analysis.
- Desired skills include: strong analytical skills; ability to assess complex corporate and capital structures; interpret legal documents; interact effectively with senior level executives (CEO, CFO, Treasurer) and manage relationships with issuers, investors and intermediaries as well as demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Strong writing and presentation skills are important.
