About the Role
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Vice President of Business Development. This role will drive RRS Medical’s revenue goals and strategic objectives by securing new clients and providing leadership support to the sales team. The VP of Business Development will need to possess strategic vision, networking skills, and both leadership and execution capabilities. This role requires discipline, process knowledge, contract negotiation skills and team accountability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and grow RRS Medical’s client base through lead generation and new business opportunities
- Responsible for overseeing the business development team and driving the success of the department
- Ability to effectively collaborate with internal departments to quickly and successfully meet expectations and demands
- Generate new sales opportunities and manage the sales process to a successful outcome
- Assess prospective sales opportunities and direct resources as appropriate to drive results
- Support client engagement and help align RRS Medical’s value proposition to our client’s business needs
- Develop creative approaches to generate new business
- Assist with closing sales opportunities, including contract negotiation, in an efficient and timely manner
- Ability to manage a complex sale involving multiple decision makers and influencers
- Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients
- Maintain relationships with clients and consistently represent RRS Medical in a positive, professional manner within the industry
- Represent RRS Medical at state, regional and national conferences and trade shows
- Commitment to driving results through creating new business opportunities in a dynamic industry
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Efficient computer skills
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with a hunter sales mindset
- Experience selling in the healthcare information management (HIM) market (preferred)
- Ability to travel, as needed
- Experience presenting to executives in client settings and identifying and working with buyer champions
- A proactive, competitive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
- A passion for the company mission and a desire to showcase it within the industry
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in business development and sales
- Bachelor’s degree
