BASIC FUNCTION:
Accountable

for leading a full scope global industrial marketing team and successfully

translating strategy into achieving business objectives as a member of the

senior leadership team. Areas of

responsibility include planning strategy, product management, pricing, market

research, marketing communications (including digital), applications

engineering/customer service, inside sales, and leading M&A activity. Serves as key member in global leadership

team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
·

Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing

strategy to support Qualitrol’s strategic plan including market size

research, segment analysis, distribution channels, product life cycle

management, and Voice of Customer;

·

Embrace and drive relevant Fortive Business Systems tools

and processes;

·

Lead a multi-disciplinary global Marketing team

consisting of product management, market research, inside sales, application

engineering/customer service, marketing/digital communications;

·

Demonstrate success in segmenting markets for selection and

growing sales in both dollar and the share basis;

·

Deliver in the traditional 4P areas of Marketing:
Product – new product introduction success,

product positioning/differentiation, product life extension and product end

of life management;

Price – responsibility for pricing and

employed complex price models, such as multi-tier, riding the demand curve,

introductory, exclusionary etc.;

Promotion – responsibility for marketing

communications and outbound processes, traditional and electronic, fee based

and free;

Place -demonstrate responsibility and success

in channel management and understanding/use of channel players;

Lead market research, VOC, data analysis, results

orientation and the regular use of metrics in daily management;

·

Assist in business planning with regional Sales

organizations;

·

Drive merger & acquisition (M&A) activity by

developing prospect funnel, relationship management, and relevant pre- and

post-acquisition planning and delivery;

·

Own ideation and open innovation processes and develop a robust

product funnel;

·

Through research and data-driven analysis, recommend the

timely adjustment of marketing strategy, pricing strategy and sales plans to

meet changing marketing and sales conditions;

·

Perform related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
·

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering. An MBA is preferred;

·

10 to 15 years experience in a complex solution sales or

marketing role;

·

Excellent global business and commercial acumen;

·

Strong people management and influencing skills;

·

Track record of team and people development;

·

Deep understanding of the electric utility industry;

·

Strong interpersonal skills;

·

High level of initiative and intensity;

·

Results driven;

·

Fact-based orientation;

·

Strong oral and written communication skills;

·

Strong organizational skills, including planning,

implementation and budgeting.
