Duties: Develop specialized transaction and investment banking industry knowledge. Function as the central contact point for external parties on transaction execution documents and coordinate with client team members, product partners, lawyers, accountants, and all other parties involved. Assist in developing engagement letters, prospectus drafting, and NDA negotiations. Manage the work flow from executives to the analyst level and coordinate work streams on execution processes and marketing efforts. Serve as the main point of daily contact between the firm and clients. Draft notes, ideas and provide clients with summaries of what is happening in the industry and how it relates to them. Present to clients on-site 1-2 days per week. Develop concepts and ideas for discussion materials and strategic transactions to support client management initiatives. Determine how to approach problems by conducting appropriate analyses and presenting findings. Provide junior resources with outlines on how to approach analyses and provide output materials for clients. Assign junior team members to client accounts and work streams. Manage daily workflows of the team to ensure support for junior bankers. Supervise analysts and associates to ensure industry and firm training requirements are completed. Conduct annual and mid-year feedback sessions and reviews. This position requires domestic/international travel 25%-30%.

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Law, or related field of study plus six (6) years of experience in the position offered or six (6) years of experience as Financial Analyst, Financial Manager, Investment Banker, Investment Banking Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree plus three (3) years of experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of experience.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with: Microsoft Excel; FactSet; Bloomberg; client management including maintaining existing and creating new relationships as well as expanding touch points with clients; legal and compliance procedures for internal audits; M&A transaction structuring including reviewing key terms of acquisition merger agreements, compiling detailed process timelines, organizing key internal and external workstreams in an M&A context, and negotiation with counterparties; cross-border transaction structuring; debt capital market and equity capital market products; leading conference calls and meetings; drafting presentations for senior management such as Boards of Directors, CEOs, or CFOs; leading transaction deal teams which include product partners as well as subordinate team members; and mentoring junior bankers. This position requires one (1) year of experience with: financial modeling. This position requires domestic/international travel 25%-30%. This position requires Series 63 and 79 FINRA licenses.
