: VP, Integrated Strategy

The VP, Integrated Strategy is responsible for leading portfolio planning for a single entertainment client and is integral to helping our client achieve their aggressive KPIs, requiring a good balance of branding and direct response knowledge. Our client is a trailblazer in their space on their way to becoming a category leader, and we are a trusted advisor whom they look to for advice and expertise. This role requires strong integrated media planning experience, a solid grasp of best practices across all media disciplines, and a commitment to delivering high quality work consistently.
Essential Functions
- Lead a team of mid- and junior-level media planners responsible for developing integrated, cross-channel media plans with a heavy focus on digital
- Client management on account overseeing multiple campaigns simultaneously within a client portfolio
- Proactive thought leadership on various media topics, both written POVs and verbal communication in meetings
- Ownership of business KPIs and solid understanding of levers to impact performance
- Ability to provide clear direction to and motivate team to perform optimally, ensuring work meets the highest quality standards possible
- Proactively seek new and innovative solutions to client business issues and challenges and evaluate their efficacy/value with rigor
- Provide thought leadership and guide strategic direction for portfolio media planning and buying across TV, Digital, Radio, OOH, and Print â as well as other partner business units and agencies
- Responsible for stewardship of various client objectives throughout the plan development process and accountable for plans delivering against client expectations
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all internal / external agency departments/disciplines including: Strategy, Investment, Analytics and Creative Agencies
- Ensure best practices are used across department and account responsibilities, revamping processes when needed
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and handle all personnel requirements for immediate staff including training and development
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
Work Experience:
- Strong business acumen
- 12-14+ years of experience in media planning and/or marketing
- 5+ years of experience mentoring and managing a team
- Entertainment and sports experience a plus
Skills:
- Professionalism, positive representation of the agency
- Solid awareness of industry trends and planning/measurement models
- Understanding of marketing and communications process
