Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning, to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, insurance and both individual and institutional retirement.
The WIM COO offers process and program management for a variety of initiatives. Primarily, the group oversees and leads integration projects (including acquisitions) and the implementation of WIM strategic initiatives, provides WIM leadership for enterprise and cross-WIM initiatives, manages project governance for WIM projects, and provides leadership for international projects.
This role is a member of the Private Wealth Management (PWM) Strategy Team within the WIM COO. This team predominantly focuses on the PWM business which serves Wells Fargo’s High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients. The Strategy Consultant will support strategic planning efforts, strategy consulting engagements, competitive intelligence, and data analytics.
The successful candidate must be a collaborative team member capable of initiating and managing action. S/he will have exceptional problem solving skills and be an effective communicator who relies on rigorous analysis and data rather than conventional “wisdom” to shape recommendations. The role requires a sense of urgency and passion for results.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of strategic planning experience
Other Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience data analysis, including reporting, exploratory analytics, and/or statistics
- 2+ years’ experience with data analytic software tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SAS, R, and/or SQL)
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new analytic tools and methods as needed
- Experience in Wealth, Asset and/or Investment Management
- Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
- Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
- Experience using business knowledge and critical thinking skills to deliver upstream and downstream project impacts
- Experience in management consulting
