Position: Scrum Master

Salary: range is from 60,000 to 115,000 yr – Depends on exp.

The Scrum Master serves as a servant leader within the technology organization, with the primary responsibility of facilitating the major events and processes of the solution delivery team, while also assisting the teams in delivering value. This role will also communicate with stakeholders,escalate impediments,help manage risk,and drive relentless improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the day-to-day activities,conduct daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning meetings and retrospectives.
  • Track team velocity towards goals and provide documentation such as burn-down charts for weekly and monthly status reports.
  • Removing impediments affecting team or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
  • Work with Product Owners to prioritize product backlog items by providing technical insight into the work being requested
  • Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on team-level progress and quality
  • Works with Agile Delivery Lead and other Scrum Masters to drive continuous improvement for the Release Train or program.
  • Act as a liaison to assist the team in managing dependencies between the team and third parties, release managers, or between the team and other agile team

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems,computer science, Business, Communications or related technical field
  • 2+ years of associated work experience as a Scrum Master within a well-defined Agile customized software development environment
  • Six Sigma highly preferred and CSM certification
  • Working knowledge of scaled agile (SAFE,LeSS)
  • Working knowledge of agile tools (Jira, Rally)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) and the ability to communicate effectively with End User Clients, IT executives, Project Managers, and development teams.
