Safety Manager Glass Division – FUNCTION
The Safety Manager of the Glass Division is responsible for all aspects of safety throughout the Glass Division within the organization. The Safety Manager of the Glass Division represents the company by creating a genuinely positive impression of E. W. Wylie Corporation at all times. The Safety Manager of the Glass Division communicates in a team environment regularly.
Safety Manager Glass Division – ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The Safety Manager – Glass Division reports directly to the Director of Safety.
The Safety Manager has direct supervisory authority over all safety department personnel within the Glass Division Safety Department.
Safety Manager Glass Division – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all safety related aspects of the day to day safety of the Glass Division including but not limited to road tests, safety training and program development and load securement.
- Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of glass, flatbed, RGN and step deck equipment.
- Yard safety including inspection management of all equipment when present and ensuring proper load securement before equipment departs.
- CSA Compliance, responsible for monitoring and managing CSA compliance for all vehicles. Responsible for maintaining acceptable levels in all CSA basics.
- Safety Education, responsible for delivering a safety curriculum that enhances safety awareness through weekly and monthly safety meetings.
- Responsible for monitoring safety protocol at outside customer locations and port operations. Travel as needed and warranted.
- Accident management with first call responsibility in cooperation with the Director of Safety Glass Division.

- Communicate with other departments within the company as necessary to perform job duties.

Safety Manager Glass Division – MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Safety Manager Glass Division – EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED with two years continuing education in the field of risk management required.
- Four years experience in a trucking environment (FMCSA) required.
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license required.
- Five years experience as a Glass Truck Driver is preferred.
