Knowledge and Skill Requirements of Technical Director:

  • Ability to use whatever tools and equipment are available to get the job done

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To comply with everything in the Full-Time technologist’s job description.
  • Responsible for reading, knowing, and following Synaptixs Standard Operating Procedures.

Regional scheduling:

  • Assignment of cases in once on the master calendar
  • Assignment of last minute add on cases
  • Work with Director of Clinical Operations when travel coverage is needed
  • Responsible if cases are not covered

Interaction with team:

  • Delivery of company information and supplies
  • Team building
  • Monitor and support team morale

Team Education:

  • Identify what skills are deficient
  • Find ways to improve technologists’ skills
  • Implement training as neededAdministrative and Other Duties:
  • Managing expense report, paperwork, and credentialing issues with team
  • Vacation coordination of team in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Operations and Human Resources
  • Recognizing and notifying of sufficient facility credentialing needs
  • Interaction/relationship building with all regional surgeons/hospitals/staff
  • Management of team telemonitoring connectivity
  • Assist sales team in development of new business
  • Assist in other market areas with staff coverage as needed
  • Pick up extra caseloads related to vacation requests
  • Support assigned technologists in all technical matters, troubleshooting
  • Assist in coordinating equipment repairs and replacement
  • Evaluate assigned technologists bi-annually and provide feedback
  • Be available on call 24/7 to help schedule or cover add on cases that cannot be covered by regular tech staff
  • Supply ordering for technologistsBackground/Experience:
  • College degree preferred
  • Board certified in intraoperative neuromonitoring
