Our Northwest Arkansas Office (Springdale, Arkansas) is currently seeking an Operations Manager.
The Division Manager leads the construction process and maximizes the team’s potential to safely deliver successful projects. Is an Ambassador of the Manhattan brand who ensures clients and local communities are proud of and satisfied with the development of our projects. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. Understanding of the field trades and ability to communicate and relate to our field supervision is mandatory.
Qualified candidate will possess the following:
· Bachelor’s Degree – Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience;
· 10+ years related experience in heavy civil construction – highway, road and bridge (preferred);
· Proven experience with State Transportation Authorities (DOT’s);
· Financial acumen – advanced project revenue/cost accounting, projections and forecasting;
· Strong project scheduling (Oracle P6) skills;
· Track record of working on medium to large construction projects;
· Proven ability to manage Professional, Field and Administrative staff;
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with strong decision making/problem solving skills.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
· Manage and develop all Project Management, Construction Management and Field Supervision resources;
· Ensure planning (scheduling) is aligned between all levels of Division staff to deliver accountable execution of the Plan;
· Promote the brand’s Safety culture and drive Safety awareness and accountability efforts;
· Collaborate and participate in: (a) project pursuit and procurement efforts; (b) project meetings with Owner’s/Client’s; (c) project status reports, revenue/cost projections; and (d) project walk-throughs and jobsite hazard assessments;
· Reports to the Vice President of Operations – Arkansas.
