What does a great Finance Operations Manager do?
You will manage the daily workflow across various functions for up to 10 employees in the company’s internal operation activities
You’re the kind of person who:
Has the ability to coach, lead and motivate a team. You are passionate for maintaining team productivity, refining and improving processes, and improving quality through the entire department
Basic qualifications for consideration:
- Manages operational activities including priorities through supervisors and leads
- Ensures maximum processing to meet legal and contractual obligations
- Minimizes operational expenditures in cost centers
- Develops, refines and implements policies and procedures to optimize personnel and resources
- Responsible for overall team performance to meet or exceed company goals and objectives
- Manage the performance and ongoing development of direct reports through timely coaching and counseling, positive reinforcement, and honest, direct feedback
- Resolve client issues and operational concerns and escalate as needed. Addresses quality and productivity issues
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
- Expertise with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Able to build and maintain excellent working relationships throughout the organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, preferred. 5+ years of applicable finance/accounting experience.
- Intellect and business judgment – This individual will demonstrate well-reasoned insights, supported by excellent quantitative analysis and qualitative business judgement, regarding financial and strategic issues/decisions. Exhibit the intellect and sound business judgment to make decisions in the best interest of Fiserv and the business.
- Business partnering, building relationships and using influence – This individual will convey a strong sense of executive presence both within and outside his/her organization. He/she will partner effectively with a senior management team and be a credible, effective representative of the business to clients and vendors. This director must be persuasive, exhibiting an ability to communicate with passion, energy and excitement for the business. Strong organization skills to facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment while responding quickly to management requests.
