Zachry is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager for our new construction Golden Pass LNG project in Sabine Pass, TX.
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing staff and other procurement activities for our New Construction Projects. Procurement activities include sourcing, evaluating, purchasing, and negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors and service providers. The Procurement Manager shall work closely with site management and other departments on common goals leading to successful projects for the Company.
Responsibilities:
Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff projects with Procurement personnel.
Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotations, vacations, and time off
Resolve disputes among Procurement staff and other departments
Performance Management Planning and Salary Action Review activities for all Procurement personnel
Train Procurement staff on Procurement processes, procedures, Oracle, and other software and systems as required by project or site
Continually improve processes to enhance speed, quality, efficiency and output
Monitor Procurement Coordinators compliance with Procurement policies and guidelines
Provide constructive, ongoing performance feedback
Insure that Procurement functions are executed in a timely manner to support the operation of New Construction projects.
Publish and report Procurement metrics
Direct and manage Procurement related functions.
Support and assist with strategic sourcing initiatives for the project.
Maintain and establish relationships across the Company
Assist Accounts Payable and other support departments
Communicate regularly with other managers or other designated contacts.
Maintain and establish relationships with key suppliers to ensure adequate resources and coverage for all projects to continually improve pricing and quality of service
Work with Project Management to support pre-mobilization efforts.
Develop and implement project specific Procurement Execution Plans
Support Deal Development
Attend kickoff and ZPEPP meetings
Determine specific spend project requirements (SBE, local, etc.)
Provide guidance and advice to Procurement Coordinators regarding sources of supply, product knowledge, and “lessons learned”/knowledge sharing across projects
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among all Procurement staff
Maintain transparent communication and appropriately communicate organization information
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Strong leadership capabilities to include coaching and mentoring
Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, able to solve complex and sensitive problems
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in Oracle or similar ERP system and other relevant software applications
High School Diploma
Preferred:
Experience in managing project-based procurement or related management
Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience may be considered
5 years’ experience
