WSB seeks an experienced ITS Project Manager to lead, develop, and manage a team in support of the project s profitable operation. This position could be based in any of our Minnesota, Colorado, or Texas offices. You will be responsible for proactively managing the projects technical budget, schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, project communications, and team management to deliver quality work, on time, on budget and to the client s satisfaction on every project.


What You Will Do:

  • Perform technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • Actively manage project scope, schedule and budget. Serve as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client s satisfaction.
  • Develop project scope and fee quotation, and assist in the preparation of proposals and contracts.
  • Coordinate work efforts and reviews of work performed by project team. Supervise and mentor team to overall project objectives.
  • Oversee project staffing with departments, offices and divisions.
  • Assist with the development of practice areas related to ITS program management and oversight, Automated Connected Electric and Shared (ACES) vehicle technologies, Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O), Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), Transportation Management Centers (TMC), Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS), and associated performance measures.

What You Will Bring: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a minimum of five years of applicable work experience, and a valid drivers license with a good driving record are required. Our preferred candidate will have a Minnesota, Texas or Colorado PE license or the ability to obtain such licensure within six months; design software experience with MicroStation on MnDOT, TxDOT or CoDOT plan preparation experience; Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering; experience focused on ITS design / Traffic Operations; experience with System Engineering Processes and System Engineering documentation; excellent verbal and written communication skills including experience writing technical reports and developing technical specifications.
