Head of Security

The Head of Security is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all physical security operations for all UCHealth facilities and care locations. The Head of Security works across UCHealth to ensure that patients, visitors, employees, and faculty are provided a safe and secure environment and receive responsive and respectful assistance for their security needs. The Head of Security proactively identifies public safety and security risks to UCHealth, its facilities, and the people it serves, and designs and directs the implementation of security policies, procedures, training, and operations to address those risks and increase security awareness. The Head of Security manages and directs security contract service providers and ensures compliance with regulatory and contract requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of a baccalaurate degree from an accredited academic institution with a major concentration in administration, business, criminal justice, political science, or security management;
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in public, private, or military security;
• CPP, CHPA, PSP, PCI or other professional discipline credential or experience required;
• Able to travel within the UCHealth network (a minimum of 35%)
