To provide insight and commercial guidance to business stakeholders to optimise Procurement strategies and solutions

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as the end to end lead for technology procurement at IHG, which includes business partnering, contract execution and, where applicable, supplier relationship management
• Lead the PaCE Procurement technology team to embed strategic initiatives across the business & ensure procurement processes are understood and leveraged
• Provide appropriate and credible senior level commercial challenge and guidance up to and including SVP and VP level to drive sustainable improvement in procurement and cost efficiency with a specific focus on corporate and hotel technology
• Responsible for providing external insight and innovation to senior stakeholders.
• Responsible for supporting strategic functional corporate and hotel programmes to deliver margin benefit and operating efficiency.
• Communicate to both internal and external stakeholders to understand and clarify procurement needs so that expectations can be exceeded.
• Partner with the business to drive cost consciousness & improvement

• Influence & negotiation skills to collaborate with key stakeholders, internally and externally, to drive results
• Influence & negotiation skills to collaborate with key suppliers across the corporate and hotel technology ecosystem
• Ability to lead commercial and strategic discussions
• Mix of business understanding and expertise in procurement techniques and best practise
• Experience in procurement business partnering in a global organisation
• Ability to navigate, influence and manage change in a matrix organisation
• Deep strategic understanding of IHG’s global business and hospitality industry dynamics; effective at identifying broader business trends and creating timely response within IHG
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and engaging with senior leadership across a matrix organization
