JOB DUTIES:

1. Supervises and coordinates all activities of staff and entire operation of hotel. All staff must be trained and re-trained on a continued basis to ensure the highest level of guest service.

2. Ensures guests are handled courteously and efficiently, complaints and problems are resolved and requests for service are carried through.

3. Verify all reports are in order and properly maintained.

4. Responsible for training of hotel team members in all aspects and responsibilities.

5. Acquainted with all aspects of hotel and job duties of each position of staff (housekeeping, front desk and maintenance).

6. Be available to help out front desk, housekeeping and maintenance during peak time’s ex. Heavy check-in/check-out front desk and housekeeping departments.

7. Perform GSA shifts and their duties.

8. Sort, wash and fold linen.

9. Responsible for cost controls to maintain budget set up by direct supervisor.

10. Responsible for achieving goals established for each quarter.

11. Perform all other necessary duties as required to see profitable hotel.

12. General Manager must be well-groomed, professional in appearance and actions at all times.

13. Have a thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and how to follow the steps; ensure all staff is fully trained and understands procedures.

14. Interact with guest for guest stay feedback and maintaining hotel service scores

15. Being part of team to maintain high guest service scores.

16. Perform all necessary duties as required to see profitable hotel.

17. Perform all other duties as requested by immediate supervisor or manager.

General Description:

The General Manager is responsible for coordinating all hotel operations to achieve maximum guest service and profitability. Ensuring the highest level of services possible in an efficient, courteous and professional manner by following standards of aggressive hospitality and adhering to guidelines and procedures. Must be available and work at least a minimum of fifty (50) hours per week at the hotel.

Basic Criteria:

Must have previous hotel and/or supervisory experience. Have excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to take responsibility and delegate to others.

Weight Requirements:

40-60 pounds for push/pull and lifting.
