About the Team:

Citi Futures and OTC Clearing Technology supports a rapidly growing business with a high degree of change. The Futures Core Services & Clearing Tech program is intended to build the core backbone for the Futures Front-Office technology, covering Trade Capture, Regulatory reporting, Client feeds, Trade STP (e.g. trade flow management, allocations, booking), connectivity to 21 Clearing House globally and build static- and semi-static reference data for the Futures business, as well as the MIS/CRM capabilities needed to run the business. In the past year, the clearing platform gained a top spot in the industry.

The Clearing Dev Manager/Product Owner will be responsible for Futures Clearing platform and manage (or matrix manage) a team of 10-15 engineers in New Jersey, Pune and Shanghai.

The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with senior technology leaders as well as the Futures Product Development group and associated business (Executions, Middle Office, Operations, In-business risk, etc.) to produce and implement parts of the Futures technical strategy, covering aspects such as system implementation, data coverage/gap analyses, market based STP coverage, interface design with external teams and non-functional testing/optimization as well as running bespoke projects for complex client demands. They will be required to identify opportunities and leading and driving a continuous process improvement and workflow improvements for the clearing platform.


Areas of activity will include:

  • Development and maintenance of Clearing Workflows, Connectivity to Clearing houses and Trade STP
  • Manage and support high visibility integration projects with Execution Systems and Back-office system
  • Requirements analysis, prioritization and roadmap definitions of above and working closely with other Dev Managers Futures Technology team.
  • Full project management and delivery responsibility for all of the above including post production support
  • Liaise with Primary Support staff to ensure successful operation of functionality post release
  • Ownership of relationships with key vendors and internal teams supplying some of the technology/solutions for Futures

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Flexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zones
  • Understanding of the SDLC
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or Waterfall methodology

Some highly desirable *nice to have* skills include:
  • OTC product knowledge, Any business analysis or project management experience in Clearing will be a bonus
  • PMP/Formal PM training will be a plus

Qualifications:

Educated to degree standard preferable
