White Oak Learning Academy focuses on an environment surrounded by caring, highly trained staff in an environment centered on learning and growth. Our teachers identify your child’s current developmental stage and foster development with individually appropriate instruction. Interactive daily lessons center on the specific needs of your child while encouraging exploration and improving social skills in a safe, nurturing environment.
Schedule:
This is a Full-Time position. The center is open Monday thru Friday from 6:00am to 6:30pm and a rotating schedule will vary between the Director and Assistant Directors. Extended hours may be necessary depending on scheduling needs.
Duties:
Our Center Director’s duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- MUST have at a minimum prior Assistant Director experience over a childcare center of 150 children or more.
- Hire and train new staff members
Supervise approx. 30 staff members
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff
- Establish policies and communicate them to staff and parents
- Develop educational programs and set educational standards
- Assist staff in communicating with parents
- Meet with parents and staff to discuss students’ progress
- Work with the center’s owner to establish budgets and set fees for programs
- Ensure facilities are maintained and cleaned according to state regulations
- Directors must ensure that their programs, staff, and facilities meet all state and federal guidelines.
- Conduct marketing campaigns to maintain public relations within the community and perspective parents.
Qualifications/Education:
A center director’s qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:
- 3+ years of childcare center management is a MUST
- Must enjoy working with children
- Excellent decision making skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be a problem solver
- Must be organized
- Self-motivated
- Require minimal direction or supervision
- Manage time wisely
- Extremely dependable
- Professional work ethic
- The Director must meet the minimum qualifications listed on Bright from the Start’s website, and be at least 21 years of age
