MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education & Training: Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or technical degree in related field and/or minimum of five (5) years’ experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the role is required.
Work Orientation & Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a dedicated secretarial position reporting to executive management. Experience in an institutional healthcare setting preferred.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to a.) Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work assignments, b.) Communicate effectively with both in-house and outside customers, c.) Work in a high-pressure environment, be organized and manage time effectively, d.) Establish and maintain positive working relationships and open lines of communication. Demonstrated ability to handle materials and communications of a sensitive and confidential nature. Maintaining confidentiality is required. Proficiency in word processing and personal computer skills is required. Demonstrated skill in a.) Taking, transcribing and producing meeting minutes, b.) Critical thinking skills and the ability to make independent decisions and exercise good judgment within the scope of designated responsibility and authority. Insures that the President/CEO is properly prepared for all meetings and activities, are kept informed of all pertinent and critical information with the utmost discretion, and that his/her calendar is monitored and maintained for accuracy in order to help support the President/CEO with meeting deadlines and goals for UM UCH Corporate Administration and the organization.
