DIRECTOR SUPPLY CHAIN

Responsible for directing supply chain activities for all campuses of South Georgia Health System in accordance with established policies. He/She will assure that goods and services for SGMC and affiliates are acquired at the lowest cost possible consistent with hospital’s standards for quality and services; to provide for the processing, stocking, and issuing of supplies, printed material, capital systems and rented equipment. Responsible for off-site storage management and other moving services as required.

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from a formal 4 year accredited college with a degree in Business Administration or other related field, with a preference of a Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare. Minimum of five (5) years in Materials Management to include purchasing, shipping and receiving, supply distribution in a health service organization; 3-5 years should be in supervisory position. Ability to converse with Medical Center staff and business agencies, ability to compile statistical reports, budget preparation, inventory control, management reports, ability to relate favorably with people, gain their confidence, and win support for initiatives. Ability to lead the service in a proactive manner to meet the changing needs and requirements of healthcare.
