Position Overview:

As a member of the Executive Team, the National Director of Operations will be responsible for all facets of RSMC’s mortgage operations including processing, closing, post-closing, risk management, appraisal desk management and other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by management

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee the centralized services department, which offers processing, closing, funding and shipping services to branches;
• Create and implement service level agreements between centralized services and customer branches
• Responsible for continuing to implement, tweak and uphold OneRepublic, RSMC’s standardization initiative, across all locations;
• Work with Underwriting Manager to create and implement service level agreements between underwriting and branch locations;
• Handle problems/trouble-shooting with all operations staff, including partner branches;
• Responsible for effective pipeline of management of loans in processing, closing, and post closing; must hold partner branches accountable for any aged unsold or uninsured loans;
• Communicate operational changes and investor changes that impact operations to all staff;
• Implement regulatory changes as they impact operational processes;
• Maintain company procedure and policy documentation;
• Run monthly calls for company-wide ops staff;
• Work with National Production manager on On-Boarding initiatives and training of new branches and loan officers.
• Assists Director of Compliance on all loan level compliance issues;
• Coordinate with Director of Technology to ensure LOS is appropriately supporting operations needs;
• Oversee appraisal desk, including insuring compliance with current state, federal and GSE requirements and respond to all appraisal desk escalations
• Lead and motivate all employees within the Processing team, encouraging a team environment between Loan Officers and Processors to complete transactions timely and efficiently
• Effectively resolve any issues and problems that arise on a daily basis
• Other duties and responsibilities as required; management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time
• Work with Director of Technology and other Executive Team members to implement key initiatives, including but not limited to: (1) Day One Certainty, (2) Finicity, and (3) e-closing

Management Responsibilities:

Hire, develop, maintain, train and supervise Processors, Closers and other operations staff as required to maximize profit and minimize risk.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Individual must be a strong leader and communicator and have a proven track record managing projects and leading teams.
• At least ten years overseeing residential mortgage lending operations
• Must have a demonstrated ability to build quality relationships, analyze and comprehend complex financial data, and understand complex mortgage alternatives
• Experience with Encompass
• Must have familiarity with all applicable loan product guidelines
• Must be able to maintain a positive work atmosphere
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
