Job Purpose

This position is responsible for working with all levels of associates, and supports all lines of business which includes; Bank Operations, Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Trust & Investments, and Insurance. Will provide leadership and manage the IT Support Team on the day-to-day tasks for completion. This position is responsible for managing the IT projects for the bank using accepted industry practices to bring projects in on time, within scope and within budget.

This position requires the ability to work with and manage multiple third-party vendors for various systems and hold them accountable for providing services as promised and ensuring SLAs are met.

Job Duties

  • Manage the I.T. Support Team which includes recruiting, hiring, training, performance monitoring and overall management and leadership of employees. Complete quarterly and annual reviews and make recommendations for salary and promotions.
  • Responsible for strategic thinking to ensure that the department is focusing on “big picture” thinking (how everything works and fits together within the organization).
  • Work with team members and vendors to resolve problems and obstacles.
  • Responsible for timely project completion – within scope and budget.
  • Work with I.T. management to prioritize and coordinate projects and resources.
  • Modify project timelines as needed, provide milestone reports and updating team members changes or obstacles.
  • Work with other I.T. staff to problem solve, discuss project options / details and to build and share knowledge.
  • Responsible for the management and relationships with third party vendors for multiple systems. Must hold them accountable for providing services and ensuring SLAs are met.
  • Be the primary responsible resource for at least one system / application, including upgrades, documentation, and communications with users.
  • Work with Training & Development staff to schedule training and implementation schedules.
  • Responsible for ensuring that excellent customer service is presented and provided by this position and the team to both internal and external customers.
  • Effective presentations to supervisors and groups throughout the company.

Education, Experience and Job Skills

  • Bachelors degree demonstrating strong academic performance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an I.T. environment with project experience.
  • Financial Services industry experience is a plus.
  • Professional team-player with attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to deal with sensitive information and highly confidential situations.
  • Strong facilitation skills with ability to bring teams to consensus.
  • Exceptional customer service mentality
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Email systems, Web site cms systems, and Intranet environments.
  • Comfort and ability to learn and use new software tools.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to create solutions while under pressure.
  • Ability to perform tasks under pressure and in tight situations.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills to prioritize multiple projects, tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
