TheRole
We are looking for a high-performing Controls Manager who is responsiblefor Overall Vehicle Controls System Development and Implementation of theControls Development Plan and Vehicle Software Configuration Management(VeSCoM) Process.
Responsibilities
- Singlepoint of contact for vehicle controls systems, including communications withprogram teams and SMT leadership
- Havea complete understanding of the vehicle controls systems, all features andmodule interactions to help address system level issues
- Createand lead execution of Controls Development Plan (CDP) which includes VeSCoMTiming, ECU Status, Vehicle Functionality Rollout Plan, and DVUL Safety Levels
- ChairsVehicle Controls Integration Team (VCIT) to bring all the pertinent softwarestakeholders to a single forum (LDE, VSE, VSIE, PT, DREs, PEs, durability,safety, etc)
- Identifyissues with progress of advanced development activities (vehicles, benches,simulations, etc.) that will impact program deliverables
- Leadexecution of the Vehicle Software Configuration Management (VeSCoM) softwarereleases
- Createand administer VeSCoM event Folder in SPR, request and track folder populationof data files and 3PD sheets
- Ensurecomplete VeSCoM package is posted, locked down, and send communication to teamindicating completion and safety level
- Leadprogram change control process for all vehicle controls systems
- Preparevehicle usage needs for controls team for GVBR
- Participatein vehicle build events and Buy Off Rides as required
- Providedirection to program Controls Integration Engineers (CIE)
- Adhereto all safety precautions and requirements, and treat safety as the toppriority during all work activities
Requirements
- BSin Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimumof 5+ years of software/controls experience
- Strongunderstanding of major automotive systems and subsystems
- Strongprogram management experience
- Knowledgeof serial data communications
- Distributedcontrol system feature development
- Experiencewith and/or knowledge of relevant technologies (eg. EPS, Infotainment, ActiveSafety, CyberSecurity, AUTOSAR, Electrification Controls)
- Knowledgeof hardware and software interfaces
- Understandingof verification and validation processes
- Experienceor knowledge of relevant tools (eg: Matlab, Simulink, Vector, CANalyzer, Neovi)
- Proactive/ results driven individual with high levels of initiative
- Highlevel of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
- Demonstratedability to manage multiple projects and assignments independently with a highaccountability for results
- Highlevel of oral and written communication skills
- Exhibitsappropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectivelywith business associates
- Highlevel analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
- Demonstratedtechnical and professional skills in job-related area required
