Position: General Manager

Refrigerated Warehousing, Inc, (RWI) and Zero Degree, based in Jasper, GA, is a licensed general and mechanical contractor who works throughout the South East. RWI has been providing refrigeration engineering and construction for food processors, food distributors and pharmaceutical companies for the past 35 years. The company is incredibly successful, with the last (3) years volume and profit exceeding the previous years.

Our company is looking for an experienced General Manager. This is a new position created by the owner. The owner would like to focus on sales and engineering. The candidate will manage both Refrigerated Warehousing, Inc (RWI) and Zero Degree while ensuring it is in accordance with design, budget and quality. The candidate will manage all business activities for both companies. Develop and implement effective business strategies and programs. The ideal candidate will have a background in general construction, and metal building construction. Steel and concrete knowledge is helpful.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and enforce safety standards and regulations.
• Manages and train personnel as needed.
• Must maintain and optimize the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and relationships, to protect the reputation of the company with the owner, subcontractors, vendor and subordinates, as this position is the PRIMARY contact and liaison for the owner and Customers.
• Plans, directs and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget parameters.
• Reviews project proposal to determine time frame, budget limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
• Coordinate project activities with activities of Government regulatory or other Government agencies.
• Oversee the work of subcontractors and other construction workers, such as roofers, plumbers and electricians, to ensure work is correct, timely and on budget.
• Obtain or ensure all necessary permits and/ licenses are obtained.
• Directs project managers and field personnel.

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years Commercial Construction
• Advanced experience and thorough comprehension of construction contracts, design plans and estimates.
• Experience and working knowledge of building projects, construction details, safety rules and regulations and quality control to ensure compliance with construction/project requirements.
• OSHA Certifications
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and business management skills are required.
• Excellent Project Management skills
• Must be detailed oriented, self-starter and have ability to function in fast moving situations.

Salary:

• Industry Standard Base Salary, plus commission on annual volume.
