HP Retail Solutions team is an industry leader in the retail Point of Sale market. We are focused on developing and delivering best in class retail solutions that enable our customers to accelerate their retail and hospitality businesses. The Retail Solutions team is looking for a Business Planning Manager to join our Planning and Operations team.
Responsibilities
As a Business Planning Manager, you will work within the Retail Solutions GBU to:
- Leads large, cross-division, cross-functional projects that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.
- Develops recommendation from complex data and business analyses
- Create and/or improve tools and processes that support business planning objectives
- Deliver key strategic guidance concerning competitive landscape, portfolio strategy, GTM strategy, and business operations to GBU and Region Leaders
- Structures analytical approaches and develops project strategies and tactics while acting as Program Manager to execute
- Provides thought leadership and contributes to expanding the knowledge base within area of expertise which includes developing new methods, techniques and criteria for benchmarking performance, developing strategy analysis and recommendations
- Leads highly complex, time- sensitive market research projects and identifies compelling trends and opportunities for business leaders.
- Prepare communications (primarily in PowerPoint) that follow a logically-reasoned, data-supported approach, allowing executives to understand the details linked to the big picture
- Participate in enhancing HP’s data sources, knowledge repositories, and internal processes
Retail Specifics
The successful candidate will focus on planning and managing tools and processes to provide competitive insights in a timely manner to support the retail product management and sales organization.
We are looking for a self-starter and a leader. This person will need to think beyond the box and set direction for the work that needs to be completed. This will require identifying and creating data and tools necessary to support the activities of the team. A detailed working knowledge and understanding of the retail industry and the retail hardware and software is critical in this role.
This position is a very fast paced position and requires excellent communication skills both verbal and written. The candidate must be able to perform these duties while under critical time constraints.
Education
Typically 10+ years total experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area. Advanced university degree required (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
